Bitcoin pizza money

In 2010, on the 22nd day of the 5th month a programmer was ravished and he needed to eat. He ordered for Papa John’s pizza, little did he know the price for his hunger would cost him so much. As at that time, the programmer Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoin for this Pizza. With the worth of bitcoin hitting a new height yesterday, the 10,000 bitcoin pizza money now worths $470 million.

Hold Pizza or Hold Bitcoin

In the heat of the hunger faced by the programmer in Florida in 2010, he lost a fortune which was then considered as nothing.

The 10,000 Bitcoin pizza money is still one of the first records of exchanging Bitcoin for physical goods. It is the alleged reason why bitcoiners decide to hold long term as a lesson has been learned from programmer Laszlo Hanyecz.

Back in 2010 the bitcoin pizza money was worth a meager $41 but as at the time of reporting it has pumped to a huge sum of $470 million. That is almost half a billion dollars consumed under minutes.

The programmer wrote on a Bitcoin forum named Bitcoin Talk which the famous Satoshi Nakamoto frequents as at 2010.

Hanyecz wrote in a post saying;

“I’ll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.”

He further expressed his desire by saying, what he really wants is getting food conveyed in return for bitcoins. He said he does not need to arrange or set it up by himself,l. He clarified further saying,  sort of like requesting a ‘breakfast platter’ at an inn or something, where they simply carry you something to eat and you’re glad.

He went on by stating the spices and other things he needed to be on it. All this fantasy was fulfilled at the price of losing a potential $470M.To further prove that Hanyecz should have kept his bitcoin pizza money, the CEO of Tesla and the current world richest man just bought $1.5 Billion worth of bitcoin and pushed the price to $47,000 per coin
